Climate Class Action has the potential to be the lawsuit of the century. Fossil fuel companies owe billions of dollars to citizens whose lives and belongings have been damaged or lost forever. Despite the ongoing surge of climate-related lawsuits globally, there still hasn’t been a class action dedicated to all citizens. People affected by climate disasters such as flooding, drought, wildfires, hurricanes, and coastal erosion can now get together to sue the major fossil fuel companies in the United States and abroad.

Climate Class Action is a not-for-profit informal network of activists and researchers in economics, law, and media. The campaign and its supporters advocate for the rights of every citizen affected by climate disasters by helping them receive monetary compensation from those who have caused them harm and losses. Climate Class Action’s founder, Paolo Cirio, is an internationally renowned activist and researcher.

The users of ClimateClassAction.com are invited to fill out an online form to indicate what economic damage they have experienced or if they have been harmed. The form outputs the amount owed to users by each major fossil fuel company. They can then join the campaign by following Climate Class Action’s social media pages or by subscribing to its newsletter, which will keep users informed about the potential to benefit from the outcomes of the Climate Class Action.
